LinkedIn and Google Docs - Whats the Difference?
LinkedIn and Google Docs - What's the Difference? Why would you want to submit your resume on Google Docs? The answer is twofold.First, you are presenting your professional background and work history to the employers and potential employers. They are going to read your resume and see exactly how your work history and education went from high school to college to the corporate world. You want them to see what type of professional you are.Second, you are presenting yourself as a potential hire. If you are showing them your credentials, you are showing them that you are the right candidate for the job you are applying for.To get a better picture of what you are looking for in a resume and for how you should present yourself, here is a Google Docs template to help you. It is also available for easy download for any resume or job application you might have. Just be sure to use your own headings and/or formatting for your work history, but have them all in a Google Docs spreadsheet. In the first paragraph, you want to include your job title, location, and the title of your position. In the second paragraph, you want to include all of your accomplishments, or to mention the accomplishments you think could be appropriate. Then, the third paragraph is for the entire body of your resume, so that you can simply highlight anything that you would like to highlight or which you would like the reader to look at.When you use the Google Docs template, you are also going to want to use your own color scheme. Here are some ideas of colors that you can use to create your Google Docs resume copy. You can use a combination of these, as well. Just pick something you like and let the imagination go to work for you.By submitting your resume on Google Docs, you are creating a twofold benefit. You are presenting yourself as a professional with your work history, and you are presenting yourself as a potential hire for the job you are applying for.
